Trigon

Don't make a triangle.

About Trigon

Two players take turns drawing lines between six dots. The moment three of your own lines close a triangle, you lose — and a triangle counts even where two of your lines simply cross, not only where they meet at a dot. That is what makes it tricky: a line that looks harmless can finish a triangle somewhere out in the middle of the board.

It is based on the old pen-and-paper game Sim, with that crossing rule added on top — which turns a handful of traps into more than a hundred. A tie is not possible, so every game ends with someone caught out.

Play by passing one phone back and forth, or against the computer at three levels. The hardest one looks ahead to the end of every game, so it never makes a mistake. Everything runs offline, and the only thing saved is your settings and your record against the computer.

Key features

  • Play on one phone, passing it back and forth, or against the computer
  • Three computer levels — on the hardest it plays perfectly and never slips
  • Your own lines can trap you wherever they cross, not only at the dots
  • Games are short — usually decided in about ten moves
  • Draw each line by dragging a finger across the board
  • Works fully offline, no account — only your settings and win record are saved, on your phone
